Borgo Saverona is a seriously cool place, and I cannot find a better description: vineyards and olive groves all around, stone architecture and a range of spaces from intimate to monumental. We are in Cirò Marina, at the heart of Crotone's wine country.
The combination I recommend is the one I have already photographed: ceremony at the Mercati Saraceni and reception in the borgo. You get two completely different sets in the same day, with a short transfer and no loss of narrative.
For a photographer the advantage is the material itself: stone, vine rows, earth and Ionian light create natural contrast that needs no building. It is a venue that rewards slow reportage and wide portraits.
Request a quoteThe light. The vine rows at sunset are the best set for the couple. At midday the stone reflects a lot: better to move portraits under the arches.
