Tenuta delle Grazie was born in 2017 from the Ielapi brothers' dream: months of work to restore an old olive mill set among the olive groves a few kilometres from Acconia di Curinga, in the province of Catanzaro. It is one of the venues where I have photographed the greatest number of weddings, and I know by heart the hour when the light drops behind the water channel.
The old mill, the stone farmhouse, the channel and the green lawns build one continuous natural set: warm wood and terracotta against minimal table settings, country-chic without ever tipping into postcard rustic. For a photographer it means changing scenery every twenty steps without ever moving the couple by car.
The team does the rest: Michelin-starred chef Luca Abbruzzino in the kitchen, floral designer Gianni Cortese working exclusively on the settings, wedding planner Vanessa Muraca with Elisa Ielapi coordinating. It is the kind of context where I can work in pure reportage, because nobody needs to be chased.

Frequently asked
Many times: it is the venue that recurs most in my portfolio, across real weddings, editorials and Christmas settings. I know the light, the timing and the paths, which means fewer rehearsals and more real moments.
The estate is large and moments overlap: above 120 guests I recommend a second pair of eyes, so nothing is lost between preparations, arrival and aperitivo.
If Tenuta delle Grazie is the place you are dreaming of, write to me: I know every corner of its light.
