Villa Grandinetti is among my favourite wedding venues in Calabria. This beautiful manor house stands in Nocera Terinese, province of Catanzaro, and I discovered it in its early days: over the years the owners have kept growing, making the couples who choose it happier and happier.
It is the dream of a beach wedding with an all-in venue that handles ceremony and reception impeccably, thanks to its position on the beaches of Nocera Terinese: only a few dozen metres separate us from the Tyrrhenian shore, with the sea breeze that makes summer evenings pleasant.
But it is not only beach and garden: it is a modern building able to offer a credible plan B when the weather is not generous. At Pierluigi and Mariapia's wedding the rain turned the garden dinner into a dinner in the indoor halls, organised so well that nothing was missed — I was struck by how professionally Giuseppe Grandinetti handled the uncertainty.
Request a quoteThe light. Sunset over the Tyrrhenian is the main resource here: twenty minutes on the shoreline are worth the whole couple session. In the manor garden the filtered light stays good even mid-afternoon.
